Come along with David to meet the world's worst children, if you dare...
UK author David Walliams has made a big name for himself in the publishing world with his funny but heartfelt children’s novels, including The Boy in the Dress, Grandpa’s Great Escape, and most recently, The Ice Monster.
Now, David brings us something new, a collection of cautionary tales featuring ten of the world’s worst children.
If your kids have read any of David’s other books, they’ll enjoy this one. They’ll meet characters like Nigel Nit-Boy, who uses his millions of nits to get revenge on the teachers at school, Grubby Gertrude, who always likes to keep her room messy and dirty despite her mother’s attempts to clean it, Brian Wong, who is very vain and always has to be right about everything, and my favourite, Earnest Ernest, who is always serious and never once cracks a smile.
Also, because this is a book of cautionary tales, there are lots of (often exaggerated) lessons to be learned as well, like the dangers of being too lazy, too vain, or too messy. And because this is a David Walliams book, Raj (the absent-minded corner store owner who features in all of David’s novels) has made an appearance in the introduction as well!
Overall, this is a funny and entertaining collection of cautionary tales, perfect for fans of this duo and their work.
