A spellbinding adventure from an award-winning name in fantasy.
It's all come down to this. Witches are slowly taking over the Wildwoods again, and the only hope for both Wizards and Warriors lies with young heroes Xar, Wish and Bodkin, on the final part of their quest. Can they complete their Spell to Get Rid of Witches, and if they can, will it be strong enough to defeat the Kingwitch once and for all?
Told from the point of view of a mystery narrator (one with rather more magic than they should have), there is plenty of danger and adventure as the trio continue with their quest.
Unlike Cowell's last series (How to Train your Dragon) there aren't any burly Vikings or fierce dragons this time, but there are plenty of magical creatures instead, including a deep-thinking giant named Crusher, and a two-headed ogre that has trouble making up his minds.
Just a warning to fans though, Fate has predicted that someone close to Xar will die during his quest, and there is no changing Fate once it is set in motion...
If you've read the first three books in this series, you'll enjoy this epic conclusion to this award-winning saga.
Overall, this is another high-stakes adventure from an award-winning author, and perfect if you're a fan of Cowell's fantasy worlds.
