An amusing, relatable addition to a deservedly popular series
The Wimpy Kid, aka Greg Heffley, is back!
When Greg finds himself placed into the Advanced Health unit at school, he soon finds himself having to deal with the new physical and social changes that come with being a teenager, including invitations to parties hosted by the cool kids at school, increased responsibilities at home, and having to have 'the Talk' with his grandmother.
Even worse, he can't rely on his best friend, Rowley Jefferson, to help him through, as Greg and Rowley had a falling-out. Can Greg get through these changes and repair his friendship with Rowley?
If your kids have read any of the other Wimpy Kid books, then they'll enjoy this, the fifth.
Just like in the previous books, there are lots of embarrassing situations in store for Greg, including a trip to the dentist that results in Greg having to wear headgear, a parenting exercise involving a missing egg, and having to deal with a lazy maid named Isabella.
And it's not just kids who'll enjoy this book, as parents will enjoy reading about Greg's Uncle Gary, who is getting engaged to his fourth girlfriend in this story.
Overall, this is another funny, relatable story about Greg Heffley that both kids and parents can get into, perfect for fans of the other Wimpy Kid books.
