The Wimpy Kid is back, and looking for love this time...
In the seventh novel in Jeff Kinney's popular series, an upcoming Valentines Day dance at Greg Heffley's school has everyone desperate to find a date, including Greg, who's determined to not be the odd man out.
With the help of his best friend Rowley, and with advice from his Uncle Gary, Greg sets in motion a series of plans to find someone - anyone! - to be his date for the dance.
Will any of Greg's schemes be successful? And who will he and Rowley end up with by the end of the night?
Kids who have already read the rest of the books in this series (13 so far), and who are fans of this series, will enjoy reading about Greg's attempts to land himself a date, doing everything from wearing his dad's old leather jacket to school (without asking first) to trying his hand at babysitting to impress a potential date's parents.
Also, as well as the main story, Greg also recounts lots of other funny (and often embarrassing) events in his diary as well, like when Greg gets stuck in the play area tunnel with his younger brother Manny during a night out at a family restaurant.
Overall, this is another funny, relatable story from a popular author, perfect for fans of this series.
