A fun musical nature walk from a well-known Kiwi face.
If you're a parent, you probably have fond memories of learning (and singing) with NZ children's entertainer Suzy Cato during her preschool shows You and Me and Suzy's World. Now, Suzy has her first book out, in which she leads kids on a musical guessing game to learn about some of our forest's native species.
Suzy's provided lots of fun clues as to what the different creatures are. For example, do you know which creature has spikes on its back and a third eye, or which bug has long feelers and hooks on its legs?
There are lots of beautiful illustrations of the forest as well, done by the talented Craig Fletcher, with lots of other animals hiding in the pictures for kids to find too.
Suzy's also written a new and catchy song to go with this story, which you can download or stream for free so kids can sing along with Suzy.
If your kids enjoy going outside and are interested in nature, they'll enjoy this story.
Overall, this is a fun musical story from an iconic Kiwi name, and great fun for kids (and grown-ups) to enjoy together
