David looks to London's future in his thirteenth exciting novel.
The year is 2120. London is in ruins and the evil Lord Protector rules the country with an iron fist. Eleven year-old Prince Albert has never left the safety of the palace his whole life, but after his mother, the Queen, is accused of treason and taken to the Tower of London, Albert will need all of his courage to save not only her, but the whole city, from a legendary beast.
If you've read any of David's other adventure novels, you'll enjoy this latest one from him.
There is heaps of action throughout the story, as Albert's quest to save the Queen takes him from the crumbling but futuristic Buckingham Palace, to the darkness of the Tower of London.
Albert has a tough fight on his hands though, as he is pitted against the ruthless Lord Protector, the King's scheming advisor and a master of the dark arts.
Of course, there is still plenty of David's signature humour as well, with characters like the Octobutt (a eight-armed robotic butler that always gets things wrong), and of course, everyone's favourite corner store owner, Raj (known here as Future Raj).
Overall, this is another adventure-filled story with a lot of humour, perfect for fans of David and his stories.
