A funny story, but be careful you don't get a fright!

Over in the Arctic lives a very cheeky polar bear cub who enjoys nothing more than sneaking up on the other animals and going…BOO!

The trouble is, the little cub doesn’t always know when to stop, and never listens to his mother when she asks him how he would like it if it happened to him.

When an explorer arrives in a helicopter one day to make a TV show about the Arctic, all of the animals set about making themselves look good for the camera.

The little cub, on the other hand, keeps on trying to scare the unsuspecting animals by going BOO! But will he go too far this time? And if so, how will the other animals get him back?

If your kids enjoy David Walliams’s other picture books (The Slightly Annoying Elephant, The First Hippo on the Moon), then they’ll enjoy this one.

Kids will enjoy all the different and funny reactions to the little cub’s joke, from the walrus sliding down the snow on his tusks, to the killer whales bursting through the ice and landing on top of each other.

There is also plenty of David’s signature brand of humour throughout the story, like when the walrus decides to top up his tan by sunbathing in the nude, or when the explorer says he once had a family of gorillas eat his underpants.

And of course, there are plenty of Tony Ross’s illustrations that kids will enjoy as well, like the picture of the walrus sunbathing with his sunglasses on and a drink beside him.

Overall, this is another funny picture book from a talented duo, and a great choice for young fans of David and his work.
