Andy, Terry, and their treehouse are back in this second adventure!
Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton aren't just a talented writing duo, but also the best of friends as well. But how exactly did they become friends and build their treehouse in the first place?
Well it's a long (and mostly true) story, but also a very exciting one, involving inflatable rubber underpants, a swan-shaped pedal boat, and a fearsome pirate named Captain Woodenhead (the name says it all, really).
So come and join Andy and Terry in their 26-storey treehouse and they'll tell you all about it! (Just don't go into their Maze of Doom, it's still not entirely safe yet).
Kids who have read the first book in this series (The 13-Storey Treehouse) will definitely enjoy this one. There are eight books in the series so far (with the treehouse expanding by 13 stories each time), and this one is the second.
Just like in the other Treehouse books, this one is full of madcap and imaginative levels, like an Automatic Tattoo Machine (ATM), a mechanical bull named Kevin, and a 78-flavour ice cream parlour run by a robot named Edward Scooperhands.
Also, as with alll of Andy and Terry's other stories, there are also plenty of funny moments that kids will enjoy reading about, like when their friend Jill has to perform surgery on the sharks in Andy and Terry's shark tank after they get sick from eating Terry's dirty underpants (he was trying to wash them).
Overall, this is another madcap, funny story from a talented duo, perfect for fans of this series.
