Andy and Terry's new treehouse may end up being either big fun, or a big distraction
If you're a parent, you've most likely heard about Australian writer Andy Griffiths and his madcap adventures and mishaps in the Just stories.
But what you may not know is that Andy and his friend Terry write these stories from the world's most amazing 13-storey treehouse, featuring just about everything, from a bowling alley, comic book library, see-through shark tank, a 3D video phone, and even a secret underground laboratory! But with all these distractions, will Andy and Terry manage to get their latest book finished on time?
If your kids have read Andy's other books, then they'll enjoy this one. There are lots of books in this series (with the treehouse's size increasing by 13 stories each book), but this one is the first.
As with all of Andy's books, there are lots of crazy characters, like Mr BIg Nose (Andy and Terry's short-tempered publisher who, as his name suggests, has a really big nose), and Superfinger (a superhero finger who helps people solve problems that require finger-based solutions), as well as lots of madcap inventions, like a banana enlarger (because according to Terry, giant bananas are cool) and a marshmallow machine that fires marshmallows at Andy and Terry whenever they're hungry.
Also just like Andy's other books, there are heaps of funny pictures done by Terry (some even as a double-page spread), which help to tell the story just as much as Andy's narration.
In conclusion, this is a funny, madcap story about an amazing treehouse, and perfect for fans of Andy Griffiths.
