A totally stink book – in all the right ways
If there's one thing that little kids love, it's dinosaurs! If there's another thing that they love just as much as dinosaurs, it's farts!
New Zealand author Deano Brien, better known by parents and children as Mr Yipadee, has managed to combine both of these things in this stinky story, featuring a bonus sing-along song.
Stan the tiny dinosaur has a very unique talent. While most of the other dinosaurs can roar from the front. he can roar (fart) from his rear end, thanks to his diet of overripe bananas.
The other dinosaurs refuse to play with Stan because of this, so he spends most of his time alone.
But when big scary Tommy T-Rex arrives and starts picking on all the other dinosaurs, Stan's smelly talent might just be able to save the day.
If your children have already read some of Deano's other books (Jingle Bells Rudolph Smells, Nee-Naw the little Fire Engine), then they'll love this story all about Stan and his special talent.
Kids will also enjoy all the funny pictures of the different dinosaurs, especially the pictures that show Stan letting rip!
Not only that, parents will also appreciate this story's moral about having the confidence to stand up to bullies.
This story also comes with a bonus music CD, sung with heaps of enthusiasm (and a few farty sound effects) by Deano, which I imagine is going to be a hit with both children and parents, especially on long car trips.
Overall, this is a funny story with a positive message, and a must for children who enjoy both dinosaurs and farts. Just remember to hold your nose!
