The secret behind slime is finally revealed in David's latest novel.
The Isle of Mulch is filled with horrible grown-ups who enjoy nothing more than making all the children's lives a misery! But when a lonely boy named Ned discovers the secret behind slime, he not only discovers a new friend, but also plans to use its powers to get revenge on the grown-ups, once and for all...
If you've read any of David's other stories, you'll enjoy this latest novel by him.
There are lots of nasty grown-ups on the Isle of Mulch you'll enjoy meeting, such as Edmund and Edmond Envy, who run the island's only toyshop and hate children for being young, or the ice cream truck drivers Glen and Glenda Glutton, who steal children's money and eat all the ice cream themselves.
But of course, the star of the story has to be Slime, who's always up for some messy fun, and can 'trans-slime' into just about anything.
In fact, the only person who doesn't live on the Isle of Mulch is David's famous newsagent character, Raj (which he thinks is a shame as he was looking foward to being in this story).
Overall, this is another fun story from David, with a heaping helping of slime and mischief, and perfect if you're a fan of his books.
