Think Wayside School is just a normal school? Think again!
Wayside School is a very unusual school. For a start, it was accidentally built thirty stories high, with one classroom on each floor, instead of just one story high with thirty classrooms in a row. Not only that, but everyone on the thirtieth floor classroom each has their own strange and silly stories to tell...
Told in a series of short stories, one for each student or staff member, you'll soon find out that nothing at Wayside School is what it seems.
You'll meet crazy characters such as Mrs Gorf, a mean teacher with a very unusual punishment for misbehaving students, and Calvin, who is sent to deliver a note to a teacher on a non-existent floor.
There are plenty of funny illustrations throughout the story that you'll enjoy as well, such as when Jason finds himself unexpectedly stuck to his desk chair.
If you're into books such as the Treehouse series by Andy Griffiths, you'll enjoy this story. There are four books in total about Wayside School, and this is the first.
Overall, this is a madcap collection of stories about a school unlike any other, and perfect if you're a fan of crazy adventures.
