A royally funny story from a talented Kiwi duo.
At Buckingham Palace in London, a number of royal guards stay at their posts, helping to protect the Queen and the rest of the royal family.
One of the guards is named Ron, who enjoys having a cup of tea (or even three on hot days) before he starts his day's work.
But one day while on duty, something doesn't feel right, and Ron soon realises that he has an emergency: he needs to use the loo, and fast!
Will Ron be able to find someone to wear his outfit and fill in for him while Ron takes care of business? Perhaps the Queen's corgis could help?
Kids who have read any of Deano's other stories (Jingle Bells, Rudolph Smells, Knock-Knock) are sure to enjoy this latest offering by the popular NZ author.
Children will enjoy reading about Ron's embarrassing situation as he crosses his legs, bounces up and down, and even appeals to the crowd of tourists to try and help him out.
And as always, the talented illustrator Paul Beavis has a lot of fun with the pictures in this story, like when Ron is in his singlet and underpants having a mug of tea, or the multiple selfies that the tourists (and a pigeon) take with Ron while he's on duty.
As an added bonus, parents can also scan the QR code on the back of the book to listen to the catchy song that goes along with the book (featuring a few trumpet fanfares).
Overall, this is another hilarious story from a talented NZ duo, and a must for fans of Deano Yipadee and his books.
