Auditions are over. Now it's time to rock.
Note: This book is recommended for readers aged 16 & over.
Reasons: Violence, offensive language, sexual references, and drug references.
A few months after the events of Rock War, Jay, Summer and Dylan, along with their respective bands (Jet, Industrial Scale Slaughter and Pandas of Doom) are all set to star in the upcoming Rock War reality TV show.
It promises to be full of parties, premieres, live music festivals, and the chance for all three of their bands to achieve stardom.
But they all soon discover that reality TV life isn't all it's cracked up to be. Will they be able to pull together to make it to the final stage, or will it all come crashing down?
If your kids have read the first book in this series (Rock War) then they'll enjoy the second one just as much.
Just like with the first book, Robert's filled this story with heaps of action, creative band names for other contestants (such as Dead Cat Bounce, Half-Term Haircut and The Reluctant Readers), and of course, heaps of cool music performances from all the bands.
There's also a couple of familliar faces from the CHERUB series, also written by Robert, featuring in the story. I won't say who they are in the review, but your kids might be able to find them!
Overall, this is a rocking great sequel to an exciting and action-packed series, perfect for fans of Robert Muchamore.
