Robin Hood meets the modern world in Robert Muchamore's new series.

Note: This book is recommended for readers aged 13 and over

Reasons: Violence and mature themes.

When twelve-year-old Robin Hood's father is framed for stealing computers and arrested, Robin and his older brother Little John are forced to hide in the dangerous Sherwood Forest. Joining forces with a band of outlaws led by Marion Maid, Robin is determined to rescue his father and strike back against the corrupt Sheriff of Nottingham.

If you've read any of Robert's other books, you'll enjoy this one, the first in a brand-new series by him.

Robert has done a great job of bringing Robin Hood and his merry men into the 21st century, reimagining the legendary outlaw as a talented computer hacker armed with a carbon fibre bow and titanium arrows.

As well as lots of action, there is also plenty of Robert's signature humour in the story as well, such as when Robin accidentally shoots a guy in the one place a man doesn't want to get shot.

There are also a few hidden references to Robert's other series (CHERUB and Rock War) in the story for fans to spot as well, including the return of a certain motorcycle gang from the CHERUB series.

Overall, this is a fresh new take on a classic character, and perfect if you're a fan of Robert and his books.
