Pig the Pug is back, and in more trouble than ever...
Australian author Aaron Blabey is well known among kids for his popular series all about Mr Wolf, Mr Piranha, Mr Snake and Mr Shark, collectivley known in the series as The Bad Guys.
But Aaron also has another popular series for younger readers, all about the greedy and selfish Pig the Pug.
In this fifth book in the series, Pig is always getting up to no good, and every time he gets caught, Pig always blames Trevor, getting the poor sausage dog into trouble with their owner.
When Pig's latest lie gets Trevor kicked out of the house, Pig thinks he can finally get his greedy paws on the bag of dog treats on the top shelf. But will an old bowling ball on the shelf make Pig finally learn his lesson?
If you and your kids have read the other books in the Pig the Pug series (five so far), then you'll enjoy this one.
Children will love seeing all the naughty antics Pig does around the house, doing everything from hula dancing (and consequently knocking a vase of flowers off the table), to making a big mess with his food on the living room rug, as well as the hard lesson he learns at the end of the story.
There's a lot of appeal for parents reading this story aloud as well, as they will no doubt appreciate the book's positive message about the consequences of not telling the truth.
Overall, this is another funny story from a popular author, perfect for fans of Pig and his misadventures.
