Welcome to the kingdom of Byjovia, where magic and adventure rule!
From the creator of Big Nate comes an all-new adventure! Max and Uncle Budrick are travelling entertainers. When Uncle Budrick is taken prisoner by the wicked King Gastley, Max joins forces with a band of heroes called the Midknights to save not only Uncle Budrick, but the whole kingdom of Byjovia from Gastley's rule.
If you're a fan of Lincoln's Big Nate series, you'll enjoy this story.
The kingdom of Byjovia is full of fun and interesting characters, including Mumblin the Magician, an inept wizard with a malfunctioning wand, and Sir Gadabout, a knight trapped in a forest by a magic spell.
Lincoln has also filled the story with heaps of his signature illustrations too, such as when Max comes face-to-face with a fire-breathing dragon.
And as always, there is plenty of Lincoln's signature humour as well, such as when one of Mumblin's spells backfires and turns him into a statue.
Overall, this is a fun medieval romp with a lot of adventure, and perfect for fans of this author.
