A fun rhyming story from a talented NZ author.
Farmer John's tractor is very old, but still has lots of life left in it. Sadly, it's been locked up in the shed for a long time. When an overflowing river causes a flood and traps a family in their car, will Farmer John's tractor be able to rescue them?
If your kids have read any of Sally Sutton's other books, they'll enjoy this one.
Told in Sally's signature rhyming style, kids will enjoy hearing this fun rescue story, especially since they can join in on the repeated phrase.
Kids who are into cars and trucks will also enjoy the story, as a parade of vehicles, from a tow truck to a fire engine, all try their best to rescue the trapped family.
The talented illustrator Robyn Belton has done a great job with the pictures, from the family stranded in the flooded river, right down to the different tools in the background in Farmer John's shed.
Overall this is a fun story with a lot of appeal for boys, and perfect for fans of Sally Sutton and her books.
