If you're Dr Dog, good health never takes a holiday.

In the sequel to Babette Cole's bestselling first book, Dr Dog is having a long-overdue holiday, which gets interrupted when the Gumboyle family arrive and proceed to make themselves sick again. Armed with a selection of herbal remedies, will Dr Dog be able to help the Gumboyles and still enjoy his holiday?

If you and your kids have read and enjoyed Dr Dog, then you'll enjoy his second adventure.

This time, the Gumboyles are all suffering from outdoor-related illnesses, like sunburn and mosquito bites, but luckily Dr Dog knows just what to do.

Dr Dog also has more helpful advice about how the body works that kids and parents will find useful, like his diagram of what happens to your stomach when you get motion sickness.

And of course, there are lots of funny pictures by Babette Cole that kids will enjoy as well, like when Kev Gumboyle gets badly bitten by a swarm of poo-flies.

Overall this is another funny but educational story, with a lot more gross-out humour, perfect for fans of Babette's famous canine doctor.
